MFT 655R: Intermediate Practicum

Dr. Garret Roundy is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He earned an M.S. and Ph.D. from BYU in Marriage and Family Therapy. His training includes treating children, teens, and adults for various issues within the format of individual, couple, and family therapy. Garret has developed a specialization in the treatment of anxiety and trauma-related disorders through studying scientific research and completing advanced clinical trainings. He has also presented on these topics in professional and community settings. For those struggling with anxiety or dealing with difficult experiences, Garret addresses the root of the problem, guiding clients through self-led change to transform chaos or rigidity into balance, harmony, and peace, both inside and out. To flexibly provide clients with research-based treatment, his approach integrates interpersonal neurobiology, family systems, internal family systems, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral, experiential, attachment, emotion-focused, and EMDR therapies. A native of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, Garret loves mountains, clouds, photography, spending time with his wife and family, and eating cheese! Se fala Português y se habla Español.
